Sarti is in winter a dreamy, small village, which adjusts itself in the summer to the tourism and offers the guest a wide offer for recovery and relaxation. The village lies on the middle finger of Halkidiki, on Sithonia. It is about 150 km from Thessaloniki.
The pearl of Sithonia …
Sarti is often referred to as the pearl of Sithonia. Rightly so, because the more than 2.5 km long sandy beach with its gently sloping water and the green hinterland of the village offer a breathtaking view. The sunrise over the holy monk’s republic Mount Athos, the third finger of Halkidiki, makes the holiday unforgettable.
Recreational opportunities ..
Sarti offers its guests various recreational opportunities. The sandy beach is great not only for swimming. Diving, stand up paddling, surfing, paddle boating and kayaking also contribute to the recovery. A walk in the backcountry, an accompanied ride, a hike in the surrounding area, a mule-tour or a mountain bike tour will give you a unique impression.
Explore Sithonia …
The family-owned car rental company MasterCar and Moto-Rent stations allow the interested person to visit the peninsula or even more distant places, such as Staghira (birthplace of Aristotle), the excavation site Olynthos, the stalactite cave Petralona or the second largest city of Greece Thessaloniki.
History …
About the history of Sarti, which was founded in 1922 by Greek refugees from Asia Minor, one learns a lot during a visit to the small historic folklore museum on the northern edge of the village.
As far as taste is concerned, the visitors can be spoiled in many small taverns and cafes. A refreshing frappé at one of the beach bars and a dinner including a freshly caught Aegean fish will contribute to a successful holiday.
